About this library
Bible Sleep Music is a free night-time Scripture library made by BibleDo. It answers the searches people make in bed (verses for sleep, for anxiety at night, for 3 a.m., bedtime prayers for children) with the full text of the passage, a short honest explanation, and a quiet room to read it in. No ads, no account, nothing to buy to open the room.
The translation
Every verse on this site is quoted word for word from the World English Bible, a modern English translation in the public domain. The World English Bible prints the divine name as Yahweh; here it is shown as the LORD, the way most English Bibles render it. Nothing else is changed. A build check refuses to publish any page whose quotation is not an exact match to that text.
Public domain matters for a night library: you can copy a verse, print a card, read it aloud to a child or a congregation, and never ask anyone for permission.
How the pages are written
Each page is written for one passage or one kind of night, and each says things only that passage can say: where it comes from, what its words mean, and how to pray it in bed. We do not publish a page for every verse in the Bible. A short list, written with care, is more use at midnight than a long one.
Facts about authorship, setting and the original words are checked against the text. Where something is church tradition rather than Scripture, the page says so.
Sound: real recording or silence
The quiet room at /tonight/ is a dark painted room with Scripture on screen. Its sound is real recordings only, rain against a window and a stream, both public domain or CC0 field recordings, or silence. It never plays generated sound, and it does not read Scripture aloud yet. When it does, the reading will be a human voice.
BibleDo also makes Sleep Radio, which plays Scripture sung word for word. Its music is made with AI tools, and every link to it on this site says so in its own words. Sleep Radio is linked, never embedded.
Sleep and health
Scripture is not a sleep treatment, and nothing here is medical advice. If sleeplessness goes on most nights for weeks, or you snore loudly, gasp in the night or feel low most days, please talk to a doctor. The guide to prayer and sleeplessness says more. If you are in crisis: in the US, call or text 988; elsewhere, your local emergency number.
Privacy
This site sets no cookies and loads nothing from another company. It counts visits with a first-party counter that records the page, the referring site and the campaign tag of a link, never who you are. The quiet room counts nothing at all and keeps what you write in it on your own device.
